While watching my new 17 week-old granddaughter on the sonogram screen with 3 of my daughters, a son-in-law and 3 grandchildren in the room, my eyes filled with tears and my heart filled with love. The California Equal Rights Amendment will afford all children what my children and grandchildren have: a right to life, a right to a loving family, and a right to full protection under the law.
